ID clues: Rough hairy stem, very large toothed leaves, 16+ yellow ray petals around a dark brown seed disk. Can grow 6โ10 feet tall! Young plants track the sun.
ID clues: Narrow white petals (ray florets) surround a bright yellow button center. Leaves are spoon-shaped and grow close to the ground. Opens in morning sun.
ID clues: Deeply toothed leaves ("lion's teeth") grow in a rosette from the ground. Hollow stem oozes milky sap. Fluffy silver seed ball โ blow and make a wish!
ID clues: Three heart-shaped leaflets, each with a pale V-shaped chevron mark. Round pink-white flower heads on separate stems. Finding a 4-leaf clover means good luck!

ID clues: Thick stem with milky sap inside. Large oval leaves in opposite pairs. Round ball of small star-shaped pink flowers. Monarch butterflies ONLY lay eggs on milkweed!
ID clues: Deeply lobed leaves with rounded bumps (lobes). Acorns have a scaly cup (cap) that holds about 1/4 of the nut. Acorns are a key survival food when boiled to remove bitterness.
ID clues: Stays green all year (evergreen). Needles grow in bundles of 2โ5. Scaly pinecones hang from branches. Brown fibrous bark on trunk. Sap can be used to seal wounds!
